This Long Island Joint Slaps Down Slices The Size Of Your Head And Stuffs Zeppoles With Cold Gelato

I am completely convinced that your average pizza night is missing a serious dose of insanity. It is just a fact.
There is a culinary powerhouse holding court on Long Island that is pumping out a massive selection of wild specialty slices and house-made desserts that will make your jaw drop. I made a stop at Parisi’s Pizza & Pasta in Massapequa, New York, and my mind was entirely blown. They are serving up creations that are absolutely devourable. They are massive. They are beautifully heavy. It is pure food paradise.

The selection behind the glass counter here is an absolute masterclass in flavor innovation. They do not hold back on a single ingredient.
I kicked things off with their Chicken Bacon Vodka slice. This monster is literally the size of my head. Let the games begin. The first bite is absolute perfection, and easily one of the best bites of pizza I have had all year.
Next up was their Lasagna slice. This thing is loaded to the absolute brim with a healthy, heavy mountain of smooth ricotta and melted mozzarella cheese. It packs all the rich, comforting flavor of a delicious grandma's lasagna straight onto a crispy crust.
"If you are a sucker for sausage and broccoli rabe, their Verona slice is an absolute dream, but their Messina slice completely steals the show with thinly sliced potatoes, sweet onions, and a heavy drizzle of truffle oil."
The Ultimate Sweet Finale
You cannot just leave after the savory round. The dessert game here is on an entirely different level.
They are famous for their "Decerino," a sweet creation where they split open a warm, sugar-dusted Italian fried dough ball and stuff it with a massive scoop of cold gelato. I dove straight into the chocolate hazelnut version. I have definitely never had an ice cream-stuffed zeppole before, and the contrast between the warm, crispy dough and the cold, smooth gelato is unreal. The fried zeppole variant is just as spectacular, melting beautifully right in your mouth.
To finish off the ultimate dessert finale, I hit their warm, gooey, Nutella-stuffed fried dough. They hit it with a drizzle of sweet raspberry sauce and a heavy snowstorm of powdered sugar.
The result? Elite.
It is rich, it is messy, and it pretty much changed my life.
If you are ready to experience a pizza and dessert combo that hits the mark every single time, get down to Massapequa immediately.
