This Hidden Greenpoint Pasta Factory Just Changed the Comfort Food Game Forever

It was cold. It was dreary. It was raining in Brooklyn for a full hour, but the universe suddenly cleared the skies for one specific reason. The higher powers wanted us to eat elite, fresh pasta straight away.

We walked just north of McCarren Park, leaving Williamsburg behind to hit up a literal pasta factory hidden in Greenpoint. I am always on the hunt for the ultimate carb experience, but what we uncovered inside this spot completely blew my mind.

I walked in and immediately asked what the daily special was. Pro tip for when you come here, ask for the special, because apparently it is amazing every single day.

Today it was a fresh rigatoni loaded up with lamb sausage, charred fennel, and kale. I like to think I am being a little healthier every now and then with that green appearance. The food arrived hot and looked absolutely unreal.

Look at that pull. The rigatoni is perfectly al dente. It has that faint, beautiful resistance when you bite down. It is just whoosh. The lamb sausage ties everything together so nicely.

The real magic? The sauce. I took my first bite and noticed a tiny bit of creaminess that was just out of this world. I asked the guy who worked there what made the sauce so incredibly rich. I assumed they splashed heavy cream in the pan.
