Why Is This The Hardest Drone Shot To Capture In The Snow

Fresh powder. Absolute silence. I wanted to capture the raw adrenaline of backcountry snowboarding from a perspective people rarely get to see. The wind was whipping hard against my drone blades as I lined up the overhead tracking shot.
No tracks ahead. Pure speed. The rider dropped in and picked up momentum, cutting through the crisp white snow while I kept the camera locked completely top-down to frame his entire trajectory.
A sudden drop. Total commitment. He launched directly off a steep ledge into the deep powder below, sending a massive plume of white spray into the cold mountain air.
The result? Incredible. I shot this at 4K 60fps to make sure the motion remained perfectly fluid, allowing me to slow down the exact moment he caught air over the pine trees. Managing a drone at high altitudes in freezing conditions takes serious discipline, but chasing these frames makes every single frozen finger worth it.
Keep pushing. Never stop. The world looks entirely different when you change your angle, so grab your gear and find a new way to look at the places you love.
