Are These Nutella Crunch Roll-Ups The Ultimate Bite-Sized Dessert

I wanted to create a dessert that was fast, crispy, and completely packed with chocolate. I needed something that felt indulgent but used simple ingredients I already had in my kitchen. By rolling soft white bread around rich Nutella and dunking it into a bath of melted milk chocolate loaded with crushed hazelnuts, I knew I could create a sweet treat with a next-level texture.

The result? Incredible.

I started by stacking a few slices of classic white bread on my cutting board. I brought down my chef's knife in a clean, rhythmic motion, trimming away the brown crusts on all sides until I was left with perfect squares of soft bread.

Slice. Slice. Slice.

Next, I grabbed a fresh jar of Nutella, pierced the gold foil seal with the tip of my knife, and peeled it back. I scooped out a smooth, glossy dollop of the hazelnut spread and smeared it evenly across each slice of bread. I carefully rolled the bread up tight into a series of uniform, compact logs.

For the crunchy chocolate shell, I lined up blocks of classic Hershey's milk chocolate on my cutting board and chopped them into a fine pile of shards. I transferred the chocolate into a glass bowl over a double boiler, stirring it with a wooden spoon until it became completely glossy and melted. To get that signature crunch, I threw in a handful of chopped hazelnuts, folding them into the melted chocolate.

I dropped each Nutella roll-up straight into the bowl, coating them entirely in the textured chocolate mixture. I lifted them out, laid them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and popped them into the fridge to set up into a solid, snappy shell.

Slicing one in half revealed a beautiful swirl of soft bread and rich, gooey Nutella hidden beneath a thick, crunchy chocolate exterior.
